Almirah Design

Almirah design are classified into two types: fixed and mobile. Fixed ones are not attached or tied to anything, but are built for a specific scenario and hung in a corner or positioned inside a niche. The mobile ones were positioned against a flat wall or a corner. Traditional almirah design are of human height and include one or two single leaf shutters or twin doors for easier access. The almirah design has two bottom level drawers that open on the outside face, as well as two inside drawers that are occasionally concealed by the main shutters. It has hidden compartments on the drawer sides, under the head side, and as a fake bottom. Almirahs might also be fashioned into lower-height cabinets or dual-depth cabinets.
